Presentation
Calm or animated holidays, everything is possible at the Sunêlia l’Hippocampe! We put on an entertainment programme for both young and old to ensure there is never a dull moment. Relax at the pools, dream in the bubbles of the jacuzzi, gloss over the waterslides and play with the youngest in the paddling pool, this is pure happiness.
You can practice canoeing and fishing on the river boarding the campsite. You prefer sports activities? The campsite is the ideal starting point for hiking or mountain biking. You will discover the breath-taking landscapes, fauna and flora of the Alpes de Haute Provence. Do not miss the Verdon Canyon, the famous lavender fields of Valensole, the natural parks of Luberon or Mercantour near our campsite.

Services, leisures and animations
In this 5-star campsite you can find two heated swimming pools, one with a large whirlpool, a paddling pool and big water slides! It’s forbidden to swim in the lake, but you can enjoy different kind of activities like fishing, canoeing with your friends or your family! You’ll find different sport fields like table tennis, volley-ball, basketball, a tennis court, petanque area and a children’s playground.
In the high season you can enjoy activities every day; archery, aqua gym, water polo, sport tournaments, but also our spectacular shows around the pools, theme and cabaret evenings, dancing evenings, soundproof discotheque. The children’s clubs are open to every child from 4 years to 18 years and propose various activities adapted to everyone.
The bar, restaurant and snack will seduce you with the quality of their service.
Description of region
Surrounded by the natural parks of Verdon, Luberon, Mercantour and the Mont Ventoux, we welcome you in the heart of the Provence. There you will enjoy the calm and the well-preserved environment not far from the picturesque village of Volonne. In Provence you will visit the lavender fields, the typical villages with their colourful markets, hills and mountains around our camping place.
Road advice
By road: leaving Grenoble, take the highway A480 and then A51 in the direction of Sisteron, then take the road D1075 in the direction of Sisteron passing by the Lus la Croix Haute pass. Coming from the south, A51 motorway towards Sisteron and take the Aubignosc exit. Then direction of Chateau Arnoux, juste before Volonne to the left. At the redlight to the right and 500 m further: l'Hippocampe.
By train: the nearest station is Chateau Arnoux/Saint Auban sur Durance, 6 km from the campsite
By plane: Marseille-Provence airport, 1h15mn via the A51 motorway
