In the grounds of a 16th Century castle, it offers a comfortable stop on your way down to the South or a perfect place for a relaxing holiday, with all modern facilities you'd expect on a 5-star campsite: heated swimming pools indoor and outdoor, restaurant, take away, bar, wine tasting cellar etc. You will receive a very warm welcome of the Engel family and their team who will do their utmost to make your stay enjoyable.

Peaceful and comfortable 5 star campsite in the grounds of a 16th Century Château in Southern Burgundy, ideally situated not far from the A6 Motorway, great starting place for discovering this authentic part of Burgundy. Spacious pitches, chateau apartments and many on-site facilities: clean toilet blocks, restaurant inside the castle, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, wine cellar, bar, shop and bicycle hire....

Castel-Camping Château de l'Epervière offers you space, peace and quiet and comfort. You will discover a quality restaurant at the castle, very spacious pitches and a heated indoor and outdoor pools as well as a paddling pool. Wine tastings are organised in the 14th century chateau cellars, from end of May to mid-September.
Description of region
Castel-Camping Château de l'Epervière is situated in the South of Burgundy, a rural region with a rich cultural heritage. You will discover many things to do and to visit: picturesque villages, iteresting cities, many castles, Romanesque churches and abbeys, local markets and much more... We cannot evoke Burgundy without mentioning the prestigious wines, the region is world famous for its vineyards. But Burgundy is also a very gastonomic region, you will find a larger number of excellent restaurants in our area.
Burgundy is a great region for a relaxing family holiday.
Road advice
Coming from the NORTH, take the Exit 26 CHALON-SUD to leave the A6 Motorway, following the D906 towards Mâcon / Tournus. When arriving at the village of Sennecey le Grand you turn left onto the D18 following the sign Gigny sur Saône / Camping – Base de Loisirs (before you turn left you should already notice signs indicating our campsite). From here on, follow this road and the campsite signs.
Coming from the SOUTH, take the Exit 27 TOURNUS to leave the A6 Motorway, following the 906 towards Sennecey le Grand / Chalon sur Saône. Follow this road until the end of the village of Sennecey le Grand, where you turn right following the sign Gigny sur Saône / Camping – Base de Loisirs. From here on, follow this road and the campsite signs.
