Map of France, situation of
The natural entryway to Aveyron, Séverac-le-Château is a subtle blending of modernity and tradition. At the crossroads of the A75 freeway and the RN88 highway, the town is a meeting of Rodez and Millau. Its famous castle offers an amazing panoramic view of the plain where the Aveyron River takes its source. Nestled at the foot of the castle, the medieval town enchants visitors by its tiny streets, overhanging porches and stairwells enticing newcomers to stroll and discover its treasures. Many shows demonstrate the life of the middle ages.
