E-tourism represents 46% of the French market and more than 75%* of online hotel bookings are made via online travel agencies (OTA - Online Tourism Agencies) such as Booking, Expedia or Hotels.com. However, the commissions charged by these operators are substantial: 5 to 30% and significantly impute the accommodation providers (10 to 20% of their margin).
Based on this observation, the Booking-better.com platform is initiating a new model aimed at strengthening the customer experience and enhancing the value of the accommodation provider through a direct relationship, without intermediaries or commissions, which preserves the establishments' margins.
